The animation itself was done by MADHOUSE Ltd. Producer/Director Frank Paur said the animation in Spectacular would not have worked as well for something as dark as Hulk vs. The animation is in between the more anatomically correct Ultimate Avengers and the more exaggerated The Spectacular Spider-Man. Wolverine was given a darker color palette and made to feel more isolated while Thor has brighter colors and a grander, more epic feel. While part of one package, the two videos have different creators behind it with different approaches. With this video they wanted to give something to the hardcore fans. Writer Christopher Yost said that with the previous video, Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow, they aimed at a newer, younger audience.

Their song "Nobody Like U" is dripping with nostalgia and is perfectly reminiscent of boy band bops from the era in which Turning Red is set, the early 2000s. Like many Pixar movies, its soundtrack choices and original score play important roles in the story. In addition to composing the film's songs with Billie Eilish, Finneas provides the voice of Jesse, one of the members of the fictional boy band 4*Town, who Mei is infatuated with and is dying to see in concert despite the wishes of her strict mother. Her brother and collaborator, Finneas, took the stage on Sunday afternoon and offered a brief rendition of the song from Turning Red, per Disney Animation Promos.
The annual music festival held in Indio, California, kicked off on April 15, with Bille Eilish headlining on Saturday night. Now, Finneas is performing "Nobody Like U" live for the first time at Coachella.
